| For a few 'spongy'
materials, a reverse taper relief can be used, gradually tapering
out as the pellets leave the compression area. This type of hole
is used for 'spongy' materials such as alfalfa or fish feeds.
The effect of this specification is that when the wear enlarges
the diameter of the hole, decreasing the compression index, this
is partly recovered by the length of the compression thickness
increasing as the diameter increases. |
