Advantages:

operator input / control
- the quality of the pellets is not connected
to the operator's experience
- increased pellet durability
Disadvantages:
- decrease in capacity / productivity
- frequent clogging problems
- higher production costs
- increased wear of dies and roller shells
- lower conditioning temperature
- lower moisture content of feed
- higher temperature resulting from
friction
- possible damage to the die track
